In Wisconsin, autumn weather is just as unpredictable as any other time of the year. One day it’s nearing eighty degrees and the next day it drops to the low sixties. One thing is for certain: autumn weather means lots and lots of layering. Fall is my absolute favorite time fashion-wise, but it does tend to get a bit annoying constantly taking off and putting on layers. Because of this, I wanted to show some fall friendly hairstyles that will work with layers and hats and scarves, etc. Which is your favorite? Thank you for reading! XOXO
Loose waves pinned half up. This keeps the majority of your hair from tangling every time the wind blows.
Bohemian waves work well all year round. Try a floppy hat to finish your look!
A low chignon will work with headbands, hats and earmuffs.
I love head scarves, and I feel they are perfect for fall. Keep your ears warm and your hair in place, but you can play with whatever color you’d like.
Head scarves work perfectly with shorter hair too!
Messy buns are perfect when you’re wearing a beanie style hat. Don’t make it too perfect; undone looks are best!
Milkmaid braids are perfect for keeping your hair in place on those especially gusty days.
Don’t be afraid to try a milkmaid braid with short hair!
Top knots will always work. This is perfect for the scarf lover. Keeps your hair off your neck and draws the eye upward.
